This writer is defending the SF Chronicle guys for leaking grand jury testimony, citing them as "hard working". I wish I could rob a bank and say "I was working hard". Journalism is becoming a farce as much as it's becoming a fraternity. People who shape everyone perceptions through the art of written and spoken word should be regulated by somebody.
theoretically, they could all decide to report the sky is falling and cause mass hysteria if they wanted. I'm ranting.

If you ask me, they deserve to go to jail just like everybody else who breaks the law.
Only one person I know didn't and that's Sam Jackson in "A Time to Kill". Even that's fiction. Every time I saw these guys interviewed they acted like the self-righteous pricks they are. I hope they end up in a cell with Nasty Nate!
Man, I was about to post to see if we could get something started on again, and notice that you did.
The blog is dead.
On this topic, I really can't comment because freedom of speech do protect these individuals. Journalism is tough profession, you have to find the best stories to make yourself look good, no matter how you get the information.
