Post Season Tension
I know that we have not been live lately, lets start 2007 off with a bang on the blog.
Do you belive that LT was out of line
We all know that LT is the most class act gentleman on and off the field.
Do you really think that he was out of line with the comments that he made on ESPN yesterday evening.
Lets Begin the New Year!
Happy 2007 Everyone!

I think it's a miracle that the Pats won. Anything the man said can't bring more surprise than the fact that they lost!
Nah homie, that WAS indeed a miracle. I know the Pats are a great squad, but they did nothing to deserve that win. SD "fell on their own sword" so to speak. Who tries to make a play out of an INT on 4th down when you have an unstoppable back and less than half a quarter to play?
The argument could be made that he wouldn't have thought to do that under Bellicheck's program, but that'd be pure speculation.
The better team lost that game, pure and simple.
As much as it pains me, I'm going to have to side with T. Buck on this one. Cam does call the plays, but Marty is the HEAD COACH, end of story.
The responsibility ultimately falls in his lap for the management of the game. I'm not saying he should call plays (though he probably should wear the damn headphones), I'm saying that he should say to his OC "hey, let's bleed this clock a little. They can't stop LT and this one is in the bag..."
That's why it's Marty's fault. Even though I still think it's miraculous that the Pats won. Nkosi said it, 99 of 100 times the Chargers win that game.
Well, I have enjoyed the comments that everyone as made as of late. WE ARE ALIVE AGAIN!
Now here is my 2 cents or whatever its worth about now.
I have to say that LT in my eyes is still a class act on and off the field, I believe that he was sticking up for his team. To me he is all-around team player.
Yes the Patriots won in undued fashion, but they definitely did not need to showout at the Chargers home stadium where all the fans were probably bumped after a heartbreaker. Think about it in those terms, and would you have reacted the way LT did? I bet anyone of us would have behave the same way.
As for the coaching decisions, yes Cam made the call, it also pains me to say this to you Walt, Cam is a role player on the coaching squad, and when it comes down to a big decision, the decision lies with the head-boss or manager who is Marty. This will not go down in Apprentice. You ever watch?? Ultimately the leader is responsible for all crucial decisions that is being made for an organization no matter what industry. This applies in the world of sports. Never forget that!!! Lesson learned for me in the past.
On that note, who yall think will win the SUPERBOWL?
Ant! Ant! Ant!
Nice try bro! I like the way you try to put that comment together. Good try, but no cigar. :)
Here are the flaws:
Quoting Ant:
"I ask you this, was Charlie Weiss a role player when Pats were winning 3 Super Bowls in 5 years? No he wasn’t, Weis ran the show on the offense end. Bill left Weis alone and allowed him to call the plays. Yes Bill would make decision during the game, but at the end of the day Weis was responsible for the playing calling and making most the decisions on how they are going to attack a certain team." "Contradictory" So would Charlie Weiss be responsible for calling challenges or determing to kick or go for it on 4th down? , I think not.
About my Business Comparison, use the correct fruit, you are not comparing apples and apples, you are comparing apples and oranges.
My analogy is totally relevant,; in sports, the CEO is the team owner not the coach. In my example, I stated the following: and when it comes down to a big decision, the decision lies with the head-boss or manager who is Marty. This will not go down in Apprentice. You ever watch?? Ultimately the leader is responsible for all crucial decisions that is being made for an organization no matter what industry. This applies in the world of sports.
Only one that I agree with you on:
I do not blame coaches for the way the players play.
You have been dissected! Make sure you bring a more presentable argument next time.
There was only ONE way the Chargers coulda lost that game, being out-coached AND being out-played. They succumbed to both scenarios. That's why we say 99 of 100 they win.
They could have easily sustained the lead if they only had one of the two problems. If the players used their head (i.e, lay down when you INT on 4th, dive on a fumble, catch the INT, etc.) they would've won. If Marty uses his mind and not emotion (i.e, throwing that ridiculous red-flag, going for it early, etc.) they would've won.
Both the coach and players performed unprofessionally so there was no way to win. Even still, they almost pulled it out.
The Saints were uplifted by the spirit of the reluctant city, they were uplifted by Drew Brees and hyped nicely by Reggie Bush. Coincidence is all that is, I guess you can thank Houston, who drafted.... what's his face! (f*ck up of the decade!)
You're mis-understanding the statement. We said 99 out of 100 they win that game. No one would say 99 of 100 any team beats any other team, the Texans beat the Colts. But that particular game, the way it was going, 99 of 100.
